What is the process after filing a claim with a Public Adjuster?
Once you hire ACI Adjustment Group to represent you against your insurance company, our licensed Public Adjusters will handle everything involved with your claim from start to finish. ACI Adjustment Group’s team will report your claim and handle the scheduling of any necessary appointments.
Your Public Adjuster will prepare an estimate and report complete with pictures and measurements to send to your insurance company. When your insurance company’s adjuster comes to your property to investigate your loss, ACI Adjustment Group’s Public Adjuster will handle all damage presentation and negotiate for coverage. After the site inspection, further negotiation is often necessary for us to secure maximum coverage. Copies of all correspondence between us and your insurance company are available at your request.
Once ACI Adjustment Group has secured a settlement, the insurance company will send a notice in the mail to the homeowner and to our office that will include an estimate. The settlement check will usually follow several days later.
Please note that many of our clients receive several checks for their claim. One reason for this is that the insurance company withholds a portion of the settlement until work has been completed. Finally, our Public Adjusters will continue to negotiate until adequate coverage is attained.
